Our access to a highly selective choice of managers thanks to our established and well-recognised presence guarantees that our fund portfolios are managed by the most effective teams in Europe.
To accelerate performance, AGF Private Equity also makes secondary acquisitions of stakes in funds or asset portfolios.
Capitalising on its relationships with the best LBO players in Europe, and especially in France, AGF Private Equity participates in LBO co-investment operations on a case-by-case basis. Being selective in this area enables us to access transactions delivering higher multiples, increasing the performance of our fund of funds programmes.
Diversification and risk pooling, combined with careful selection of opportunities for co-investment and profitable secondary acquisitions, enable our investors to benefit from the best in the asset class.
An investment strategy focusing on LBOs in Europe
AGF Private Equity concentrates its investments in LBO funds. This sector represents almost two thirds of all private equity in Europe. The selected teams are made up of established professionals who have proved their stability, the suitability of their strategy and their ability to deliver returns significantly higher than their competitors in their own markets
At the same time, AGF Private Equity diversifies its investments moderately through venture capital funds in order to benefit from research and development into new products in Europe in both life sciences and information technology.
Geographical diversification
AGF Private Equity's investments focus mainly on local funds, essentially dedicated to a single European country as well as a limited number of pan-European vehicles.
AGF Private Equity has developed detailed knowledge of all European markets. Special relationships are maintained in each country, not only with major players in the private equity sector but also with significant players in asset management.
